Viruses and malware can cause a lot of damage and even if you manage to remove them, you will be left with many pieces to pick up. While it can't remove viruses like a traditional security application, Windows Medkit can help you deal with the aftermath. Bugs and errors can be fixed without any effort with this simple tool. You can manage and remove autorun files, terminate running processes, prevent shutdowns and much more.

The application is compatible with all modern Windows versions and it doesn't have any special requirements. It comes as a single executable in a ZIP archive, so you don't have to go through an installation process.

At a first glance, Windows Medkit doesn't seem to offer too much. Its compact user interface presents a single option, for deleting autorun files on drives of your choice. You can access additional tools through the top menus, on the same interface. The application's task and startup managers are particularly handy. They are far more comfortable than the basic Windows tools and they let you target more files.

Windows Medkit gives you access to basic system tools as well, including Windows Explorer, the command prompt, MSConfig and others. Furthermore, the software lets you prevent system shutdowns, but a more interesting feature is the possibility of preventing user-defined tasks from running. This is indeed a powerful feature to have at your disposal, since you can prevent unknown and suspicious programs from running.

Windows Medkit gives you the possibility of taking control of your system and fixing all sorts of problems.

Pros

Windows Medkit gives you a better control over your system. It can prevent shutdowns or other tasks. The software doesn't ask for too many resources and it doesn't need to be installed.

Cons

Certain options can be hard to understand for some users.
